Remembering the legacy of Jerry Guidry
Jerry Guidry’s real estate career took off in the ’80s when he opened Guidry & Co. Real Estate, Inc. He represented the trendsetters in Lafayette and began buying and selling real estate for himself. When the oil crunch hit Acadiana, he founded Crawfish Town USA in 1986 and was its creative Cajun cook for 15 years, while it became world famous.
Jerry was an electrical lineman for the City of Lafayette, a licensed plumber, a licensed cosmetologist and a licensed real estate broker, but real estate was always his first love. He invested across Acadiana, at one time owning 68 acres, and developed the southeast corner of the Breaux Bridge exit at I-10. We always say Jerry bought and sold real estate like Jeni buys shoes!
Today Jeni Guidry, Broker/Owner and Certified Ziglar Master Coach, carries the brokerage forward.
